Colobus Badius Temminckii This is one mean looking monkey that lives in Western Africa from Senegal to Ghana. One of the three subspecies of Procolobus badius, it feeds on fruit and termite mounds. They are hunted by Chipanzees. They are very acrobatic and lively in the forest, making them favorite zoo attractions. They live in troops. Their habitat is being badly encroached by development by the rising populations of West Africa. Colobus Monkeys have tricolor vision, which is an interesting topic to research.



Gambia itself is a very interesting country. The smallest country in Africa, it is essentially the estuary of the Gambia River and carved out of the country of Senegal.
